Ultimate Buddy Challenge – Terms & Conditions

  1. The RSPCA QLD Ultimate Buddy Challenge (“the Challenge”) is run and operated by RSPCA QLD, of, Wacol, Qld, 4076.
  2. The following persons are eligible to enter the Challenge by becoming a Buddy to an RSPCA QLD animal (“the Buddy”):
    • Individuals who reside in Queensland only, who are not paid employees of RSPCA Queensland
    • Organisations or community groups based in Queensland
  3. Promotions in relation to the Challenge will commence on Thursday 1st October 2015 and run until 11.55pm Queensland time on Thursday 10th December 2015 (“the Promotion Period”).
  4. Buddies can register to start the challenge any time from Thursday 1st October 2015 until 11:55pm Queensland time on Thursday 29th October 2015 (“the Challenge Registration Period”). Registrations will not be accepted after the closing date.
  5. Each Buddy’s challenge will run for 6 weeks from their start date (“the Challenge Period”).

    For example, Buddies who commence on the first day of the Challenge Registration Period, Thursday the 1st October 2015, will finish their challenge at 11:55pm Queensland time on Thursday 12th November 2015.

    Buddies who commence on the last day of the Challenge Registration Period, Thursday 29th October 2015, will finish at 11:55pm Queensland time on Thursday 10th December 2015.

  6. At the point of Registration, the Buddies will be presented three RSPCA QLD animals at random who are looking for a home. The Buddy will be required to select one of the three animals, who they will become a Buddy to.
  7. The Buddies will be asked to complete a range of tasks, which will be provided to them as a Checklist by RSPCA QLD. Each task is intended to help find the Participant’s Buddy a home. The Participant will accrue Points for:
    • Registering to become a Buddy
    • Each task completed on their Checklist
    • Re-registering to become a Buddy again if their animal gets adopted within the Challenge Registration Period
  8. The winners of the Canine Commando, Claw Captain and All Creatures Cadet Awards will have accrued the most amount of points within the Challenge Period. Should there be a tie, a draw will take place between the top point scorers with one winner and two Runners-up being selected by RSPCA Qld for each award. The winners will receive the Major Prize Pack valued at $703.95. The Runners-up will receive the Runners-up Prize valued at $113.85.

    The winner of the Outstanding Teamwork Award will be the team that has accrued the most amount of points within the Challenge Period. Should there be a tie, a draw will take place between the top point scoring teams with one winning team being selected by RSPCA Qld. The winners will receive the Team Prize Pack valued at $500.

    The team or individual to submit the most innovative promotional adoption idea will be selected by a panel of RSPCA Qld representatives to win the Most Innovative Award, and will win the Major Prize Pack valued at $703.95.

  9. Names and likenesses of Promotion and Challenge winner(s) may be used by the RSPCA for promotional purposes without the need for further consent and without further compensation to the Promotion and Challenge winner(s).
  10. After the closing date, all Challenge information will be held on file at the RSPCA QLD Brisbane Animal Care Campus, 139 Wacol Station Road, Wacol, QLD, 4076 until the announcement of the Challenge winner(s).
  11. The winning buddy(s) will be announced by RSPCA Qld on Monday 14th December 2015.
  12. In the event of fire, theft, or irreparable damage to the registration forms, the RSPCA retains the right to suspend or cancel the Challenge.
  13. Conduct of the Challenge, including decision on the eligibility of persons to enter, shall be the sole responsibility of the management of the RSPCA, whose decision in all matters shall be final. No correspondence shall be entered into.
  14. The RSPCA reserves the right to disqualify any Buddy that is deemed fraudulent or not a valid entry form as issued by it.
